We (BHYS) are a community youth soccer club for ages 4 to 17.  We are non-profit and operated entirely by volunteers. Join us for recreational-level soccer.

Our club is a member of Seattle Youth Soccer Association (SYSA) and Washington Youth Soccer Association (WYSA).  We play games in a league with other community clubs for two recreational soccer sessions every year; Fall & Spring Seasons.

Teams for children ages 4 to 6 (U6 to U7): This age group meets at Jefferson Park Sports Plateau located west of the driving range. Register online and simply show up at the field.

Boys age 4 &5 (BU6): 5:30pm Tues & 1pm Sat.

Girls age 4 &5 (GU6): 6:30pm Tues & 2pm Sat.

Boys age 6 (BU7): 5:30pm Wed & 11am Sat.

Girls age 6 (GU7): 6:30pm Wed & 12pm Sat.

Teams for children ages 7 &8 (U8 & U9):   Practices start early August. Most teams decide to meet twice weekly.  Practices are in the Beacon Hill area. Contact your coach for information about time and place. Games are on Saturdays at Seattle southend parks starting Sept 8th and ending Oct 27th. Standard fee is $50.

Teams for children ages 9 to 16 (U10 to U17):  Practices start early August. Most teams decide to meet twice weekly.  Practices are in the Beacon Hill area. Contact your coach for information about time and place. Games are on different days of the week all over Seattle starting Sept 8th and ending Nov 10th. Standard fee is $90.

Scholarships for Low Income Families:  Players qualified for free/reduced school meals can obtain a discount by typing the word scholarship in the Discount Box on the registration payment page.

Age group determination: Player age is determined by age of player on July 31st. U6 means Under 6 age group. 4 and 5 year old players qualify for U6.  6 year old players are U7, and so forth. For example, if a player is 10 years old on July 31st of this year, then they are qualified to play on a U11 team because they are Under 11. Confused?  Do not worry. The registration process automatically determines your age group.

BHYS is committed to providing affordable soccer to all in our wonderful diverse community. Forty percent (40%) of our families need scholarship support. Here are ways BHYS finds support for affordable soccer:

  * Individual donations. You can donate when you pay your registration fee.

  * Corporate volunteer match programs

  * City of Seattle grants.

  * SYSA Community Outreach Fund

  * Gifts from other SYSA clubs

  * Business sponsorships

  * Community civic organization gifts

We value every player as a person who deserves to be treated with dignity & respect. We teach our players that we care about them as a person, and their self worth is not connected to their abilities as an athlete. We urge our families and volunteers to support this belief and make soccer fun for all. Watch and study videos provided by The Positive Coaching Alliance.
