We (BHYS) are a community youth soccer club for ages 4 to 16.  We are non-profit and operated entirely by volunteers. Join us for recreational-level soccer.

Our club is a member of Seattle Youth Soccer Association (SYSA) and Washington Youth Soccer Association (WYSA).  We play games with other community clubs for two recreational soccer sessions every year; Fall & Spring Sessions.

FALL SOCCER 2020 IS CANCELED DUE TO COVID-9 RESTRICTIONS

Fall 2020 Beacon Hill Soccer programs have been canceled. Although State and SYSA authorities allow soccer practice for up to 5 players staying at least six feet apart, we have decided not to hold practices this Fall.  After gathering comments from parents and coaches, the BHYS Board decided that gathering even small groups for practices increases the risk of transmitting COVID19 infection to our players, coaches, and family members.

Seattle Youth Soccer Association (SYSA) has a back-up option: a series of skills training clinics with 5 or less players per staff starting in late September for U10-U19 players that want to participate.  Updates to SYSA plans and registration instructions can be found at SYSA's website.

We hope to resume Beacon Hill soccer practices and games in April 2021 if we can provide a program that is reasonably safe for our families at that time.

FUNDRAISING

Beacon Hill Youth Soccer (BHYS) has designed a smart looking soccer scarf featuring our diversity shield and are available for $20. Proceeds will provide scholarships for our players who qualify for free/reduced school meals.

BHYS is committed to providing affordable soccer to all in our wonderful diverse community. Forty percent (40%) of our families need scholarship support. Here are ways BHYS finds support for affordable soccer:

  * Individual donations. You have an opportunity to donate when you pay your registration fee.

  * Corporate volunteer match programs

  * City of Seattle grants.

  * SYSA Community Outreach Fund

  * Gifts from other SYSA clubs

  * Business sponsorships

  * Community civic organization gifts

 BHYS JOINS THE POSITIVE COACHING ALLIANCE

We value every player as a person who deserves to be treated with dignity & respect. We teach our players that we care about them as a person, and their self worth is not connected to their abilities as an athlete. We urge our families and volunteers to support this belief and make soccer fun for all. Watch and study videos provided by

The Positive Coaching Alliance.
